This question is being posted on behalf of Chuck Keenan of Allegheny County.  He is interested in starting a shallow subsidy rental assistance program to be used by individuals transitioning from institutions and other settings into the community.  He would like to know if any other counties have such a program and if so, how it was funded and for what amount.  Other information about the program would also be welcome, such who is eligible to receive assistance, whether there is a maximum amount of rental assistance per person, and who administers the program.
